ABOUT

Photograph taken by my mom, 1990.
I've seen life a little differently for as long as I can remember. When I was small, I invented my own dictionary. In middle school, I drew up plans to live in a treehouse. By ninth grade, I knew I wanted to make a difference in people's lives and by tenth, I knew how. Photography.

I was blessed to grow up in a creative home with supportive parents. When I expressed my interest in photography, my mom showed me how to use her 35mm Minolta. It was my first camera and it changed my life.

In high school, I took college photography classes and worked on my own a great deal, as well. After graduation, I began seeking out accomplished photographers based both here in Philadelphia and in New York.

In 2009, I decided to continue my official education and applied for Temple's esteemed four-year Photojournalism Bachelor's degree. I completed it in two.

These days, I'm raising two little boys who are the absolute light of my life. They make me laugh, they fill me with love and happiness, and they've been teaching me a lot about looking at life from a different perspective.

It's been a busy life, full of ups and downs and lots of surprises, but I am thankful for every minute. And for ten years, photography has remained my passion.
